ISO 17025, an international standard dictating the "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" is applicable to all laboratories performing calibrations and/or tests. The requirements contained in the standard, assume that these laboratories must operate a quality system, are technically competent, and their results are technically valid.

The standard does not mandate how to conduct testing. However, it does mandate the implementation of a quality system to ensure technical competence. As a result, employees can produce valid results in an accurate, timely, and verifiable manner. Briefly, the standard wants to prove impartiality, competence and consistency in laboratory operations.

EUROMAG complies with the requirements of the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard.

As a result, Euromag demonstrates that it operates in a competent and impartial manner, ensuring its ability to produce consistently valid results.

In 2017, the standard was updated to its current version, accepted in Italy on February 20, 2018 as UNI CEI EN ISO 17025:2018. Among others, the new Standard has a substantially revised structure, including several management system options. There is new emphasis on "risks and opportunities," clearer reference to sampling activities, new requirements on conformity assessment and metrological traceability.

By converting to the new revision of UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, Euromag has demonstrated that its internal and external work processes and its quality management system meet the requirements of the new standard as well.
